LANNIE SUMMERLIN

Jan. 1, 1919 -- Feb. 2, 2006

MOUNT OLIVE -- Lannie E. Summerlin, 87, died Wednesday at her home in the Summerlin's Crossroads community.

She was daughter of the late Washington and Minnie Jones Ezzell, and was widow of Herbert J. Summerlin. She was a retired poultry producer.

She is survived by one daughter, Katherine S. Tadlock of the home; two grandchildren, Rhonda Tadlock Cottle, and Kevin Tadlock of Mount Olive; one great grandchild, Brooke Cottle; stepson, Willie Summerlin of Goldsboro; stepdaughter, Mary Wilkins off Mount Airy; 13 step-grandchildren, 22 step- great-grandchildren, and nine step-great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by one brother, Sam Jones, and sisters Grace Bryant and Polly Dunn; and step-children Herbert Lee Summerlin, Nellie Williams, and Addie Sparks.

Funeral services will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home with the Rev. Mickey Whitfield officiating. Burial will be in Rooty Branch Church Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
