IVEY V. LEE

PIKEVILLE -- Ivey Vastus Lee, 89, a retired farmer in the Nahunta Community, died Thursday at Britthaven Nursing Home in Smithfield.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bobby Jones will officiate. Interment will be on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Lee was born in Wayne County to the late Vaden Lee and Ida Mae Radford Lee. He was married to the late Virginia Scott Lee.

Mr. Lee is survived by two sons, Robert Eugene Lee and wife, Nancy, of White Stone, Va., and Roger Lee and wife, Debbie, of Fremont; five grandsons, Vaden Lee, Richard Lee, Kurt Lee, Steven Lee and William Lee; one step-grandson, Derek Williams; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Ruth Dunn of Wilmington and Dorothy Johnson of Wilson; and two brothers, Billie V. Lee of Goldsboro and Ralph Lee of Palm Harbor, Fla.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Nahunta Fire Department, Pikeville, N.C., 27863; or to one's favorite charity.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 until 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
