Gordon W. Holmes Sr., 78, of Richmond, Va., died last Saturday.
A memorial service will be held this Saturday at 11 a.m. at Walmsley Boulevard United Methodist Church in Richmond, Va.
Mr. Holmes was a native of Wayne County and was the son of the late A.K. and Marie West Holmes.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie Register; two sons, G. Wilson Jr. of Charlotte and John M. Holmes Sr. of Richmond, Va.;.; and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Masonic Home of Virginia.
