CLARENCE PEEDIN

PINE LEVEL -- Clarence Alvin Peedin, 90, died Sunday night in Smithfield Manor Nursing Home.

The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. The Rev. Sandy Schaller and the Rev. Dick Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

Mr. Peedin was a retired farmer and dairy foreman and was mostly recently employed with Kemp's Motors in Princeton as the assistant manager. He was a Johnston County native and was the son of the late Richard Daniel and Gurney Sellers Peedin. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pine Level.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Pace Peedin; one son, Paul Peedin of Pine Level; one daughter, Peggy Starling of Princeton, two brothers, R. V. Peedin of Jacksonville and Billy Ray Windham of Selma; one sister, Edna Jane Bailey of Jacksonville; and five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Peedin Woodard.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at the funeral home.
