MOUNT OLIVE -- The funeral for Donald Kornegay Sr., 50, of Brooklyn, N.Y., formerly of Mount Olive, will be held Saturday at noon at North East Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev. Richard J. Lawson will officiate. Burial will be in Carver Cemetery.
Mr. Kornegay died Jan. 5, 2006, at Tisch Hospital in New York.
He was the son of the late William and Pauline Oates Kornegay and was employed as a special agent with the Department of Homeland Security.
He is survived by three daughters, Gloria, LaDonna and Pauline; two sons, Donald Jr. and Brian; and two brothers, Elder Linwood Kornegay of Orlando, Fla., and Tyrone Kornegay of Mount Olive.
The viewing will be held today from 5 until 6 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home.
