THOMAS NICHOLS

WINCHESTER, Va. -- Thomas Keith Nichols, 73, of Winchester, Va., died Tuesday after a bout with cancer.
A native of Kenly, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 until 1971, then worked for 22 years at the Naval Department in Washington, D.C.
In addition his wife and three children and their families, he is survived by one sister, Mary Ellen Owensby of Goldsboro and two brothers, Franklin Nichols of Nahunta and Elbert Nichols of Newport News, Va.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Winchester.
