Died Jan. 8, 2006

The funeral for Eula Bell Simmons, of 143 Rosewood Road, will be held Thursday at noon at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Joe Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Old Mill Cemetery.

Mrs. Simmons is survived by two daughters, Gale S. Lewis (David) of Richmond, Va., and Minnie S. Vickers (Stan) of Raleigh; two sons, Milton L. Simmons (Sadie) of Goldsboro and Davie D. Simmons (Germaine) of Miami, Fla.; one sister, Ruthie Greenfield of Goldsboro; one brother, John Bell (Lottie) of Goldsboro; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends including Stephanie Smith, Tamika Perry (Ernie) of Raleigh, David Lewis Jr., Kevin Lewis, Jonathan Lewis of Richmond, Va., Alexandria Simmons and David Todd Simmons of Miami, Fla.; and Sterling Simmons and Milton M. Simmons of Goldsboro.

The viewing hours will be from 3 until 5 today at Lightner Memorial Funeral Home, and the family will receive friends afterward from 6 until 7 at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
