Arabel Cox Zealy, 92, died today.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Eugene Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Mrs. Zealy was born in Raleigh and was the daughter of the late General Albert Lyman Cox and Arabella Parker Cox . A homemaker, she was a former executive director of the Wayne County United Way and was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and the Colonial Dames of America.

She is survived by one daughter, Sally Worrell, and her husband, Tony, of Goldsboro; one son, Thomas Cox Borden of Raleigh; one stepson, Hazel Zealy III and his wife, Linda, of Victoria, Texas; her grandchildren, Lee Worrell Taylor and husband, Billy of Kinston, George Anthony Worrell Jr. of Clermont, Fla., and Susie Zealy Ursprung and husband, Robert of Fort Worth, Texas; her sister, Frances Cox Mancuso of Goldsboro; her daughter-in-law, Susan Borden Allen and husband Lark of Raleigh; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Murray Borden and Dr. Albert Hazel Zealy and her oldest son, Lt. Colonel Murray Lyman Borden.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 200 N. James Street, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530; or Wayne County United Wayne, P.O. Box 73, Goldsboro, N.C., 27533; or The Vietnam Veteran's Memorial Fund, 1023 15th Street, NW, Suite 200, Washington, D.C., 20005.

The family will receive friends at the home of Tony and Sally Worrell, 805 E. Beech Street.
