PIKEVILLE -- Frank C. Forehand, 80, of 447 Forehand Road died Saturday at his home.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Pikeville. The Dr. Don Sauls and Reverend Willard Hardison will officiate. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Forehand Cemetery.

Mr. Forehand was a native of Wayne County and was the son of the late W.T. Forehand and Della Pate Forehand. He attended Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Pikeville. He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion and a charter member of the Patetown Volunteer Fire Department and the Wayne County Wildlife Association.

He is survived by his wife, Dollie Mooring Forehand; two sons, Kenneth Forehand and his wife, JoAnn, of Pikeville and Randy Forehand and his wife, Celeste, of Pikeville; one daughter, Connie and her husband, Reverend Marvin Wiggins, of Durham; two sisters, Lydia Forehand Sykes Hawley of Pikeville and Minnie Forehand Ginn of Pikeville; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends at Hardee's in Pikeville.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Forehand was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruby F. Pate, Smithey Cuddington and Lucy F. Suggs; and three brothers, Luther Forehand, Luby Forehand and Tommy Forehand.

The family will receive friends at the church following the service on Tuesday evening at the church and other times at the residence.

Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be made to Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund, 336 Pikeville Road, Pikeville, N.C., 27863.

The family is being served by Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
