ROBERT FROWEIN

Mr. Robert Eugene "Bob" Frowein, age 78, a former resident of Washington, died Tuesday, December 27, 2005, at his home in Goldsboro.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2005, at Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, conducted by the Rev. Sonny Browne.

Mr. Frowein was born in Detroit, Michigan, on August 12, 1927. He served in the Army, Marines, Navy and the Army National Guard. Mr. Frowein retired as General Manager of WITN-FM 93.3 Radio Station with 35 years of service. While living in Washington, Mr. Frowein was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was an Eagle Scout and was very active in Scouting. After his retirement, Mr. Frowein moved to Goldsboro.

Mr. Frowein was married to the former Zelma Moore, who preceded him in death, June 23, 1987.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Robert Frowein and his wife Jamie of Goldsboro, James Eugene Frowein and his wife Missi of Westley Chapel, Fla.; four grandchildren, Sean and Brandon Frowein both of Goldsboro, Adam Frowein of Virginia, Colby Frowein of Westley Chapel, Fla.; two brothers, Richard Frowein of Macomb, Ill., and James Frowein of Juliet, Ill.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shirley and Don Wilkinson of Washington Park, N.C.; and nephews, Don Wilkinson Jr. of Stokes, Greg Wilkinson of Washington.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2005, at Paul Funeral Home, Washington.

Flowers are appreciated, but those wishing to make a memorial are asked to choose a charity of one's choice.
