ADA K. MINSHEW

STANTONSBURG -- Ada Kearney Minshew, 101, died Tuesday at Britthaven Nursing Home in Goldsboro.
A native of Greene County, she was the daughter of the late Frank Kearney and Alice Lynch Kearney and was married to the late William Minshew. Mrs. Minshew was a charter member of Faro Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, where she was a member for 83 years. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
The funeral will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Faro Chapel P.F.W.B. Church, with the Rev. Otis Penny and the Rev. Joe Strouse officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Eureka Cemetery.
Mrs.. Minshew is survived by two daughters, Gladys Gray of Goldsboro and Thelma Cherry of Wilson; a son, William "Junior" Minshew, and wife, Faye, of Stantonsburg; and 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Joe Minshew and Earl Minshew.
The family will receive friends at the church following the service on Friday.
