KINSTON -- Eleanor Dixon Everett, 80, died Wednesday at Lenoir Mem-orial Hospital.
She retired as a counselor at Wayne County Correc-tional Center in Goldsboro.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Joyner's Funeral Home in Wilson. Dr. Lynn White will officiate. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
Mrs. Everett is survived by one daughter, Elana Rachel Howell of Burgaw; two sons, Aubrey Jay Hooks of Wilmington and David Dixon Hooks of Kinston; one sister, Mary Frances Hawkins of Wilson; and seven grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Joyner's Funeral Home.
