WARSAW -- Macy Underwood Gavin, 82, of 118 Julia Drive, died Monday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Hines Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Dr. Naverro Brown will officiate. Interment will be in the Devotional Gardens.
Mrs. Gavin was a native of Sampson County and was the daughter of the late Sam and Savannah Lamb Underwood. She attended schools in Sampson and Duplin counties and was a member of Hines Chapel, where she served as a Mother of the Church and was active in several organizations.
The viewing hours will be from 4 until 7 today at Rhodes Funeral Home in Warsaw.
The family will assemble at the residence at 1:30 on Friday afternoon.
