Herman Allen Jackson, 61, died Friday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
Burial will be at Mount Peace Cemetery in Philadelphia, Pa.
Mr. Jackson was born in South Carolina to Livi and Eloise Scott Jackson.
Among his survivors is his son, Robert L. Jackson.
Local funeral arrangements are being handled by Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
