DR. G. FRANK OWEN

Dr. G. Frank Owen, 86, of Green Cove Springs, Fla., died last Wednesday.
A retired U.S. Air Force colonel, he was stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Hospital from 1975 until 1982 and completed his service as a hospital commander. He was a native of Dunn and was a 1941 graduate of Wake Forest College.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Taylor Owen, and is survived by three daughters, Susan Rutherford of Grand Rapids, Mich., Jane MacDonald of Green Cove Springs, Fla., and Lindsay Ann Vick of Burgaw; and one granddaughter.
A memorial service was held Saturday at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Broadus-Raines & Pons Family Funeral Home in Green Cove Springs, Fla.
