The funeral for Harvey Jones Jr., 84, will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel. His daughter, Pastor Patricia Williams of Goldsboro, will officiate. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.
Mr. Jones died Sunday at his residence at 5893 Church Road, LaGrange. He worked in construction after serving four years in the United States Army.
In addition to his daughter, he is survived by his wife, Emma Jones of the home; three sons, Edward Sutton of the home, Billy Johnson of Kinston and Jerome Johnson of Washington, D.C.; and five other daughters, Carol Wilson of Kinston, Lois Bryant of Snow Hill and Katherine Sutton, Shavon Johnson and Emma Bizzell of LaGrange.
Rhodes Funeral Home in Goldsboro is serving the family.
