Ann Denning Hinson, 63, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held at Rosewood First Baptist Church on Tuesday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Steve Porter officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Hinson was born in Wayne County to the late George Washington Denning and Lallah Stafford Denning and was the widow of Charles Vance Hinson. She was a member of Rosewood First Baptist Church, was a former member of its ladies auxiliary, and was active in the Sunshine Club at Oak Heights Church.

Mrs. Hinson is survived by a son, Mike Hinson, and his wife, Amber, of Rosewood; a daughter, Melissa H. Sutton, and her husband, Ron, of Princeton; a sister, Gwen Word, and her husband, Don, of Nashville, Tenn.; her mother-in-law, Carrie Holland Hinson of Goldsboro; three sisters-in-law, Mary H. King and her husband, Donald, of Princeton, Hilda "Sam" Sharpe and her husband, Bob, of Casey, S.C., and Ruby Mull of Swansboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Another sister, Margaret Denning, preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Mike and Amber Hinson, 107 E. Wendy Way, in the Rosewood community.
