Louise Scarborough Wallace, 83, of Goldsboro, formerly of Hamlet, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Hamlet to the late Joseph and Maude Byrd Scarborough.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Wilbert "Speedy" Wallace.
A graveside funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday (today) at Richmond Memorial Park. The Rev. Randy Bishop will officiate.
She is survived by a daughter, Sherrie Metz and husband, John of Goldsboro; three grandchildren, Taylor and Greg Metz of Goldsboro, and Jessica Metz of Wilmington.
In honoring Mrs. Wallace's request, there will not be a public visitation. The family will greet friends after the service.
Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet is serving the Wallace family.
