FAISON -- Cecil Spaulding Price, 81, of 215 South Forrest St., died Thursday at his home.
A service will be held Sunday (today) at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Olive. The Rev. J. Paul Rose will officiate. The family will remain at the funeral home to receive friends following the service. At other times, they will be at the home. Committal and burial will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Faison Cemetery.
Mr. Price was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II. He was a retired building contractor and farmer, and he attended the Faison Baptist Church.
He is survived by five children, Judy Price Parks, Cathy Price Long, Susan Price Melchor, Connie Price Holland and husband, Harold, and Jeff Price, all of Faison; a brother, Charles Allen Price and wife, Dorothy of Faison; two sisters, Muriel Price Barton and husband, Richard of Richmond, Va., and Margaret Price Brookshier and husband, Bill of Florida; nine grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Falace Braxton Price and Cecil Patrick Price; his wife and the mother of his children, Doris Marie Mitchell Price; and his parents, Richard Allen and Cora Millen Price.
Tyndall Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
