Buren Conway Rose, 98, died Thursday at Wake Medical Center.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Rose Hicks will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Rose was born in Wayne County to the late W. Elly Rose and Lula Lynch Rose. He was married to the late Cleo Best Rose and the late Rae Brock Rose. He retired as a machinist with Dewey Brothers and was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
Mr. Rose is survived by two daughters, Alice Rose Sullivan of Raleigh and Brenda Rose Barwick of Morehead City; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Dewey Rose, Needham Rose and Leon Rose; and one great-grandson, Jonathan Sullivan.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 until 3 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
