Ruby Barrow Daniels, 82, died Monday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Willard Hardison and the Rev. Gladys Wells will officiate. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Daniels was born in Greene County to the late Taylor Roosevelt Barrow and Emma Thomas Barrow. She was married to the late Emmett Lee Daniels and was a member of Free Gospel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Kay Daniels, Renee' Phelps and husband, Martin, and Gwen Howell and husband, Roger, all of Goldsboro; her grandchildren, Dawn Eason and husband Tony, Amber Howell, Taylor Phelps, Morgan Howell and Daniel Phelps; her great-grandchildren, Ramsye Eason and Peyton Eason; four sisters, Gladys Wells, Margaret Sutton, Rosetta Smith and Ann Davis of Goldsboro; two brothers, Robert Barrow and Wade Barrow of Snow Hill; and a sister-in-law, Blanche Gurganus of Goldsboro.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Perry and Jessie Ham, and a brother, James Barrow.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534; or to the Eastern Alzheimer's Association, 400 Oberlin Road, Suite 208, Raleigh, N.C., 27605.

The family will receive friends today from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Gwen and Roger Howell, 270 W. Hill St., Goldsboro.
