Jerry V. Wilson, 62, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born in Kansas City, Mo., he was the son of the late Jeff Edward Wilson and Edna Marie Wilson.
He is survived by a son, Ronald E. Wilson of the home; five stepchildren, Marty Jones of Dudley, Robin Sapp of San Diego, Calif., Brian Jones of Henderson, Nev., Teresa Parker of Montana and Mike Jones of Jerome, Idaho; three sisters, Carol Washek of Arizona, and Jessie Hamilton and JoAnn Wilson of Missouri; five brothers, Clarence "John" Wilson of Maryland, Donald Wilson of Florida and Johnny Allen Wilson, Edward Wilson, and Robert Wilson of Missouri; and 16 grandchildren
A memorial service will be held Monday at 5 p.m. in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive. The Rev. Jimmie Swinson will officiate. A brief time of visitation will follow the service, and other times the family will receive friends at the residence at 103 Clint Drive, Dudley.
