PRINCETON -- Dorothea Boyette Craddock, age 81, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on November 30, 2005, after a courageous two year battle with ovarian cancer.

Born in Johnston County, Dorothea was the daughter of the late Jim and Ella Boyette. Her husband was the late V. T. Craddock. Mrs. Craddock was a retired schoolteacher in Wayne and Johnston counties. She had a lifelong love of nature, gardens, and the beauty on God's creation.

The funeral will be held Saturday (Dec. 3) at 11 a.m. at Rains Crossroads Free Will Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Mrs. Craddock will lie in state at the church Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m., with the family receiving friends from 10 until 11.

Surviving are two sons, Rick Mileski and wife Sandra of Rosewood and Gary Mileski and wife Becky of Pikeville; one daughter, Jean Thompson and husband Bill of Pikeville; one brother, Rudolph Boyette of Wilson; three sisters, Marie Mitchell of Kenly, Norma Lee Radford of Scottsville, Va., and Betsy Boyette of Fennville, Mich. "Mama Tia" was also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to Rains Crossroads FWB Church Building Fund, 5430 Princeton-Kenly Rd., Kenly, N.C., 27542.

Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton is serving the family.
