Edward Carl Davidson, 68, of 1540 Old Mount Olive Hwy., died Tuesday.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Horace Modlin will officiate.
Mr. Davidson was born in Anne Arundel County, Md., to the late Hurbert C. and Vindex Newsome Davidson. He retired as a foreman with Goldsboro Iron and Metal.
He is survived by two sons, Edward C. Davidson Jr. and Ray Davidson of Mount Olive; three daughters, Connie Meadors of Winston-Salem, Donnie Goodall of Little River, S.C., and Betty Grady of Georgia; one sister, Delores Newsome of Morehead City; and seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home immediately following the memorial service on Friday.
