Died Nov. 19, 2005
The funeral for Otha Davis, 65, will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Mount Olive. His brother, Moderator James A. Davis of Wilson, will officiate. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Park.
Mr. Davis died Saturday at his residence on Walnut Street.
He was the son of the late William F. and Callie L. Davis and was a retired employee of O'Berry Center.
Surviving, in addition to his brother, are two daughters, Shelia McGowan Brinson of Kenansville and Joi Hood of Goldsboro; two other brothers, Edwin Davis of Mount Olive and Willie Ray Davis of Winston-Salem; five sisters, Neicy Moore and Shirley Wells of Wilson, Dorothy Parker of Faison and Mamie Sherard and Gayle Hardy of Goldsboro; and four grandchildren.
The viewing will be held today from 3 until 6 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home in Mount Olive.
The family will receive friends at the home of Edwin Davis at 518 E. Pollock St. in Mount Olive.
