Madie Olivia Reid, 93, of Pikeville, died Thursday at Countryside Villa.
She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mollie Lucas Applewhite. She was
educated in Wayne Coun-ty Public Schools and was a member of Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
Her survivors include three sons, Benjamin Artis of Hampton, Va., and Mal Reid Jr. and Wayne Carl Reid of Fremont; and 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
The wake will be held Tuesday from 7 until 8 p.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home in Fremont.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Union Grove F.W.B. Church. Burial will be in Turner Swamp Cemetery.
The funeral procession will line up at the residence of Mal Reid Jr., 958 Memorial Church Road, Fremont.
