Marie Baker

June 6, 1925-Nov. 16, 2005

Marie Holloman Baker, 80, of 1273 O'Berry Road, died Wednesday at Sunbridge Care & Rehabilitation of Mount Olive.

Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Rosa Anderson Holloman and widow of Dewey L. Baker. She was a member of Jones Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Her survivors include one son, James Edgar Baker of the home; three daughters, Melba B. Howell, Hilda Mabe and Audrey Marie Bonner of Mount Olive; four brothers, Wilbert Holloman of Winston-Salem, Leonard Holloman and Kenneth Holloman of Mount Olive and Edward Holloman of South Carolina; three sisters, Lossie Bell Witherington, Peggy Edwards and Janice Martin of Mount Olive; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with the Rev. William Weaver and the Rev. Stacy Watford officiating. Entombment will follow in the Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
