RONNIE HAWKINS

James R. "Ronnie" Hawkins, who retired as a machinist with AP Parts Company in Goldsboro, died Monday at his residence in Graceville, Fla., following a brief illness.

A graveside service was held today at 10 a.m. at Marvin Chapel Cemetery in Graceville.

Mr. Hawkins was the son of the late William Albert and Ruth Merritt Hawkins. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

His survivors include his wife, Patsy Hawkins; two sons, James Alan Hawkins of Kinston and Donny Michael Hawkins of Goldsboro; one brother, Billy Hawkins of Malvern, Ala.; two sisters, Annie Ruth Saunders of Ponce De Leon, Fla., and Jimmy Louise Saranthus of Goldsboro.

The family receive friends at James & Lipford Funeral Home on Wednesday evening.
