BENNIE THOMPSON

PRINCETON - Bennie E. Thompson, 67, died Wed-nesday at Wake Medical Center.

A native of Johnston County, he was the son of the late Marvin Eason and Blanche Stuckey Thompson and was the widower of Barbara House Thompson. He was a United States Navy veteran and was active in Pine Level American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of the Smithfield Moose Lodge.

Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia T. Foster and Becky T. King of Princeton; one brother, Mike Thompson of Princeton; two sisters, Connie McCullen and Myra Johnson of Princeton, four stepsisters, Brenda Baldwin of Princeton, Dorothy Mozingo and Ava Langley of Clayton and Debbie McCumber of Rosewood; and one granddaughter.

The funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton. The Rev. Josh Williamson will officiate. Burial will be in Princeton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 tonight at Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton and other times at the residence.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 1132, Fairfax, Va., 22038-1132.
