HOPE G. NEWCOMB

PIKEVILLE -- Bernice Hope Ginn Newcomb, 75, died Saturday at her home.
A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Esckol Ginn and Hattie Strickland Ginn and was the widow of Russell Washington Newcomb.
The funeral will be held tonight at 7 at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bryan Huffman officiating. Burial will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
Mrs. Newcomb is survived by her son, Danny Newcomb and wife, Pam, of Pikeville; two daughters, Linda N. Jones and husband, Lee, of Chesapeake, Va., and Kimberly N. Rowe of the home; two brothers, Kermit Ginn and wife, Patsy, and Lemuel Ginn, all of Washington, N.C.; her grandchildren, Eric Jones and wife, Tracy, Paige Newcomb, Clint Newcomb and wife, Amanda, and Kelly Pelt and her great grandchildren, Brett Jones, Hailey Jones, Cam Newcomb and Jaden Pelt.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Minshew; a brother, Jack Ginn; and a grandson-in-law, Kirk Pelt.
The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home following the service tonight.
