TURKEY -- Robert Eugene Wray, 53, died unexpectedly on Monday at Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Warsaw Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Ben Burrows and the Rev. Henry Swanze will officiate.
Mr. Wary was the son of Geraldine Jones Wray of Warsaw and the late Eugene Carson Wray. He attended Warsaw United Methodist Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Alyce Jean Short Wray; two daughters, Shelby Wray Harrison and husband, Jesse, of Kinston and Allison Paige Wray of the home; two grandchildren Noah Alexander Harrison and Nicholas Andrew Harrison; two sisters, Linda Wray Juba of Wilmington and Debbie Wray Holt of Raleigh; two nephews, John Michael Juba and Robert Thomas Juba; and one niece, Ashley Nicole Juba.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Duplin Animal Rescue Team.
Community Funeral Home in Warsaw is serving the family.
