MARY C. REECE
Died Oct. 30, 2005
CLYDE -- Mary Cox Reece, 82, died Sunday at Haywood Regional Medical Center.
A native of Wayne County, she had lived in Haywood County since 1946. She was the daughter of the late Ira R. and Catherine Johnson Cox and the wife of the late J. Earl Reece. She was a member of Clyde First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for 46 years, and was a former employee of the Baptist State Convention.
Her survivors include three sisters, Ruby Blackman, Sarah Connor and Gladys McCullen of Goldsboro; one brother, Ira R. Cox Jr. of Garner; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held today at 3 p.m. at Clyde First Baptist Church, with the Reverends James Parham and James Langford officiating. Entombment will be in The Horizon at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall this afternoon from 1:30 until 2:45.
