Michael David Edgerton, 35, of 2700 New Garden Road E., died Friday.
Mr. Edgerton's funeral will be held 2 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2005 in the Forbis and Dick North Elm Chapel. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.
Michael Edgerton was born on December 14, 1969 in Goldsboro. He was a 1992 graduate of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where he was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity. Michael was a member of Goldsboro Friends Meeting and attended Irving Park United Methodist Church where he was active in the Methodist Men. Michael was a member of the Greensboro Elks Lodge #602, and an avid fisherman. He was employed by Wachovia Bank and Trust Company.
He is survived by his wife, Jerrie Ann Edgerton and children Emily Ann Edgerton and Michael David Edgerton II, all of the home; parents, David and Jane Edgerton of Goldsboro; brothers, Jeff Edgerton and wife, Alice of Goldsboro and Eric Edgerton of Washington, D.C.; grandmothers, Katherine Edgerton of Goldsboro, and Myra Thomason of Rome, Ga.; and a nephew, Travis Edgerton.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 until 8 at Forbis and Dick North Elm Chapel, and other times at the residence.
Memorials may be made to Irving Park United Methodist Church, 1510 W. Cone Blvd., Greensboro, N.C., 27408.
