Curley Lee Isler, 56, of 110 Sandy Drive, died Friday in Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Isler was born January 20, 1949, in Wayne County to the late Esther Harper Isler and John Wesley Isler Sr. He was an Army Veteran and was employed as a Health Care Technician at Cherry Hospital.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Headquarters, 1800 S. Slocumb St. The Rev. Charles E. Franklin will officiate. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Isler of the home; two sons, Tharmus D. Isler of Goldsboro, and Vistor R. Isler of Winston-Salem; seven brothers, James W. Joyner of Florida, John W. Isler Jr., Randolph Isler, Swindell Isler Sr., Charles T. Isler, Larry E. Isler, and Elvis R. Isler, all of Goldsboro; two sisters, Esther I. Johnson of Goldsboro, and Marie Isler-Smith of New Bern.

There will be a viewing from 3 until 6 p.m. Monday at Hamilton Funeral Chapel in Goldsboro. The family will begin receiving friends at Kinston Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at 7 p.m.
