Devon Simms, 48, of 102 Randall Lane, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Forbes Tabernacle in Wilson. The Rev. George Ward will officiate. Burial will be in Rest-haven Cemetery in Wilson.
Mr. Simms is survived by his daughter, Nikia Sharpe, and his granddaughter, Ki´Jira Sharpe, both of Raleigh; his mother, Inez Tyson of Goldsboro; two sisters, Bobbie Jean McKithan (Cleveland) and Bessie M. Wooten (Johnny) of Goldsboro; four brothers, Eddie Elmo Simms, Melvin Leo Simms and Edgar Lee Simms (Jackie), all of Goldsboro, and William Ward of Wilson.
The viewing hours will be from 2 until 7 p.m. on Saturday at Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Goldsboro and the family will be present to receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m.
