An inspirational wake for Marie A. Pitt will be held this evening from 6 until 7:30 in the chapel of McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 South George St. A graveside service and burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Pitt is survived by three sons, Benjamin Ray Pitt, Nevaro Pitt and Glenn Riggs; five daughters, Linda Reid, Lois Parks, Diane Stallings, Tonya Forte and Tammy Croom; two brothers, Winford Armwood and Roy Lee Simmons; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
