ROSE HILL -- William Junior Cruse, 78, died Sunday at his home.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Community Funeral Home of Warsaw. Burial will be on Thursday morning at 11 in the Devotional Gardens.

Mr. Cruse was the son of the late Will Cruse and Molly Uptegrove Cruse of Warsaw.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sallie Jenkins Cruse; 10 children, Rachel Kennedy and spouse Rayford of Warsaw, Kay Simmons and spouse Bill of Magnolia, Arlene Bowen and special friend Randy Rivenbark of Rose Hill, Darlene Howard and spouse Billy of Magnolia and Kathy Turner and spouse Donnie of Garland, Jesse Cruse and spouse Dorothy of Southport, Bobby Cruse and spouse Vicki of Hookerton, Donald Cruse of Kenansville, Paul Cruse of Tarboro and Billy Jo Dunn and spouse Angie of Harrells; four sisters, Clyde Evans of Kenansville, Gatsie Vause of Turkey, Alice Wheeler of Kinston and Janice Simmons of Warsaw; two brothers, Walter Cruse and wife Rhoda of Albertson and Lewis Cruse of Turkey; and 27 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, David Cruse; two sisters, Ninnie Hall and Lucy Smith; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Community Funeral Home following the service on Wednesday night.
