CHESAPEAKE, Va. -- David Ray Denning Jr., 59, of the 1600 block of Lilac Ave., died Tuesday.

He was born in Goldsboro and was the son of the late David Ray Denning Sr. and Helen Brogden Denning. He owned FatBoyz Auto Brokers and was the liaison for the Corvette Club representing Colonial Chevrolet during the 1970s. He was an Army veteran during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Carol Osborne Denning; one son, John E. Denning of Portsmouth, Va.; one sister, Cathy Pendergraft of Goldsboro; and one brother, Mark Denning of Goldsboro.

The family received friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, on Saturday, from 5 until 7 p.m. Private burial will be at a later date at the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veteran's Cemetery, Suffolk, Va.
