MARGARET JOHNSON

KENANSVILLE -- Margaret Mae Gaylor Johnson, 86, died Thursday at Guardian Care of Kenansville.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Community Funeral Home in Warsaw. The Rev. Rick Howell and the Rev. Dave Amon will officiate. Interment will follow at the Devotional Gardens in Warsaw.

Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of the late Henry and Alice Howard Gaylor and the widow of Ray Willard Johnson. A lifetime resident of Duplin County, she retired from the Duplin General Hospital nursing staff and was a member of Kenansville United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by one daughter, Oletta Johnson Shiley and husband, Carroll R. Shiley; two daughters-in-law, Carole B. (Cordell) Johnson and Cindy H. (Colby) Johnson; one brother, Donald Gaylor; two sisters, Hilda G. Clark and Alice Rose; and eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Everette Cordell Johnson and Gaston Colby Johnson; and one brother, Donald Gaylor.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Community Funeral Home in Warsaw, and other times at Mark Bland's residence at 203 South Dobson Chapel Road, Kenansville.
