Lela Jones Strickland, 77, of 105 Galilee Road, died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today in the Coley Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverends Fred Jones, Timothy Webber, and Bobby Jones will officiate. Burial will follow in the Jones Family Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Connie Strickland Colston of Blounts Creek; two sons, Marshall Wayne Strickland of Greensboro; Billy Mack Strickland of Carolina Beach; three brothers, Donny Jones of Smithfield, Charles E. Jones of Kenly, James E. Jones of Havelock; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
The family received friends Saturday evening from 7 until 8:30 at Coley Funeral Home, Kenly.
