SNOW HILL -- William David Askew, 25, died Thursday.
A native of the Arba Community of Greene County, he was the son of William E. "Bill" and Rose Stocks Askew. He graduated from Greene Central High School and was a student at Pitt Community College.
He is survived by his parents, Bill and Rose Askew, and one sister, Janie Marie Askew Paredes of Winterville;
The funeral will be held Saturday at 6 p.m. at Hull Road Free Will Baptist Church, where he was a member. The Rev. Leon Grubbs will officiate. The committal service will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at the New Hull Road Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church following the funeral on Saturday, and other times at the residence, 1378 Joshua Mewborn Road, Snow Hill.

The family is being served by Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service.
