HUNTER W. FINCH

Hunter Woodis Finch, 77, died Tuesday at his home.

A memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church with the Rev. Homer Morris and the Rev. Thurman Horney officiating.

Mr. Finch was born in East Orange, N.J., to the late Hunter J. Finch and Lucille Ortman Finch. A United States Navy veteran of World War II, he retired as marketing vice-president for Proprietary Drug Company and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Kennedy Finch; his son, Hunter Jeffress Finch of Oregon; two daughters, Frances Finch Mayo of Boardman, Ohio, and Jennifer Ann Finch of Cary; four granddaughters; and his sister, Virginia Ann Finch of Australia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Big Moose Community Chapel, Eagle Bay, N.Y., 13331; or to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 204 E. Chestnut St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 3 until 5 p.m. at the residence at 606 Mill Road.
