KENLY -- The funeral for Joyce Nichols Watson, 71, will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Coley Funeral Home. The Rev. Dwayne Batton will officiate. Burial will be in Kenly Cemetery.
Mrs. Watson died Friday at her home in Gainesville, Ga., following an extended illness.
She was a native of Wilson County and was the daughter of the late Talmadge Nichols and Orabelle Cuddington Nichols. She was employed with the Georgia State Department of Human Resources.
Surviving are her husband, William "Whitney" Watson of Gainesville; two daughters, Brenda Kay DeVaughn of Jacksonville, Fla., and Eleanor Grey Pippin of Alpharetta, Ga.; one son, Eugene Watson of Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, Gene Nichols of Wilson; and one sister, Diane Godwin of Middlesex; and six grandchildren.
