LEONARD FALKENHAGEN

MOUNT OLIVE -- Leonard George Falkenhagen, 80, of 106 Wintergreen Lane, died Thursday morning at his home.

A native of Michigan, he was the son of the late Herman and Alice Jennison Falkenhagen. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and was retired from the Corps of Engineers. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife, Eva Mae Gilroy Falkenhagen of the home; two daughters, Carol Gregory and husband, Jerry, of Mount Olive, and Barbara Allison and husband, Wade, of Asheville; a son, Roger Falkenhagen of Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan; six grandchildren, Teresa Turbyfill, Glenda Creech, Chris Falkenhagen, Rob Falkenhagen, Carrie Falkenhagen, and Pamela Jarman; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters, and is survived by their families.

Friends and family will gather for a time of remembrance on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive.
