ROBERT E. BAKER

Died Sept. 17, 2005

Robert Edward Baker, 67, of 401 Black Jack Church Road, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Baker was born in Tifton, Ga., and was the son of the late Alford and Annie Mae Clemmons Hinson Baker. He served his country in the United States Navy, the Navy Reserves, the United States Army and the Army Reserves and was a life member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans. He was working as the groundskeeper for the Waynesborough Historical Village.

He is survived by his wife, Colleen A. Baker; one daughter, Shannon Renee Baker of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and two sisters, Pearl Mosley and Louise Herndon of Florida.

No formal service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts would be appreciated and may be direct to his wife, Colleen A. Baker, 401 Black Jack Church Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
