LAFAYETTE FREDERICK
KENANSVILLE -- Lafayette Frrederick, 79, of 543 Seminary St., died Sunday at Duplin General Hospital.
The funeral was held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Rhodes Funeral Home in Warsaw. Burial was in the Devotional Gardens.
Mr. Frederick was a native of Duplin County and was the son of the late George and Louise Hussey Frederick. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a self-employed brick mason.
Surviving are two sons, Lafayette Frederick Jr. of Fayetteville and Kenneth Chapman of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two daughters, Lisa Coughman of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Antonette Frederick of Seattle, Wash.; one brother, George Frederick of Kenansville; one sister, Geneva Frederick Jones of Yorktown, Va.; and 17 grandchildren.
The viewing was held on Wednesday evening from 6 until 7 at Rhodes Funeral Home in Warsaw.
