Malena Aubrey Schimmel, 30, of 619 Drummersville Road, died Saturday, at Pitt Memorial Hospital.
Malena was a 1993 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and she worked as a Supervisor in the Purchasing Department at Carolina Turkeys. Malena had a great love of animals.
A funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday from Rouse Funeral Home with the Rev. Todd Sutton officiating. A committal service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday from Pineview Cemetery.
Malena is survived by her mother, Pamela Price of Seven Springs; father, Charles Schimmel Jr. and wife, Gloria of Pink Hill; brother, Troy Thompson of Seven Springs; maternal grandparents, Sidney and Pearl Price of Seven Springs; paternal grandmother, Pat Sanders and husband, Mack of Pink Hill; step-sister, Gloria Jean Coble of Seven Springs; two step-brothers, Charles Parrott of Fort Bragg and David Parrott of Hawaii.
The family will receive friends Tuesday following the service and at other times at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Sidney Price, 627 Drummersville Road, Seven Springs.
