Sarah F. Valentine Raines, 72, of 426 Sheridan Forest Road, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late William and Armenta Eaton Valentine. She was area captain for the "TOPS" Foundation.
Mrs. Raines is survived by her husband, Harold F. Raines; her daughters, Renna S. VanHeel and Deborah F. Evans, both of Goldsboro; a son, Russell C. Raines and wife, Linda Faye, of Princeton; and her grandchildren, Daphne Raines, Stephen Raines, Christy Schroder, Ronald Gordan, Stacy Evans, Caleb Gonzalez, Migel Gonzalez, Alejandra Gonzalez, Kristian, Simons, Russell Raines Jr., Richard Allen Raines, Rebecka Raines, Loretta Medlin, Adam Raines and Amber Medlin.
She was preceded in death by her son, Harold F. Raines Jr.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Memorials, Honor Program, P. O. Box 2680, North Canton, Oh., 44720.
The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
