Mrs. Bertha Lee Speight, 92, of 111 Carver St., died Wednesday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. John United Holy Church, Snow Hill. Elder Willie Lewis will officiate. Burial will follow in the Snow Hill Cemetery.
She is survived by three daughters, Annie S. Bell (Fountain) of Snow Hill, Ella S. Stevenson, and Bertha Howard, both of Washington D.C.; three sons, Roosevelt Speight of Maryland, Willie J. Speight (Pricilla) and Ray Speight of Washington. D.C.; a brother, Thomas Edwards of Connecticut; 28 grandchildren, and 48 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 6 until 8 p.m.
