Nell J. Minshew, 61, of N. Topsail Beach, passed away on Monday September 5, 2005, the day of her wedding anniversary. She will join her late husband in heaven, Bradley B. Minshew, who passed away in 2004.
Nell Minshew was a "True Southern Lady" who was always surrounded by people she loved. Those who were blessed to know her always felt welcomed by her warm hospitality. Her closest friends were by her side every step of the way.
Nell was born in Wayne County on July 29, 1944 and was the daughter of the late Faison and Gladys Joyner. Nell was a domestic Engineer.
Nell is survived by her children, Libby Ratliff and husband, Dr. Don Ratliff of Johnson City, Tenn., and Teresa DeMarco and husband, Randy DeMarco of Cummings, Ga.; two grandchildren, Catherine Ratliff and Alexander Bradley DeMarco; one loving brother, Pete Joyner of Newton Grove.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held at Brownings United Methodist Church in Mt. Olive at 12 p.m. Saturday, September 10. Dr. Lily Chou will officiate.
